Ryan Lochte will be in the new Sharon Stone movie

Ryan Lochte will star in the new Sharon Stone movie called A Little Something for your Birthday, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter.

THR reports that Sharon Stone will play an aspiring fashion designer who is under the thumb of a clingy mother (Ellen Burstyn) in this new flick written and directed by Susan Walter. Tony Goldwyn (aka The President of the United States from Scandal) will play the sleek, sexy lawyer whom I’m guessing is there to sweep Stone off her feet and prove to American women in movie theaters across the land that if the whole “following your dreams” thing doesn’t work out, you can always just wait for a rich dude in a nice suit to show up. But maybe not. I could be wrong.

Can’t wait to see what role Lochte — who is used to the bright lights of show biz now, thanks to his turn on Dancing with the Stars — brings to life and how much Oscar buzz he generates. Here are some guesses as to Lochte’s role:

  1. Stone’s do-nothing son who eventually helps her realize that The President of the United States is actually A Good Guy after the part of the movie where she gets mad at him and leaves him, even though the audience knows it’s really all just one big misunderstanding.
  2. A gas station attendant.
  3. Stone’s Starbucks™ barista who encourages her to switch her order from her usual black coffee to a caramel machiato in a pivotal scene that lets viewers know she is loosening up.
  4. Her mother’s psychiatrist.
  5. The lifeguard who has no business being in the plot but was necessary in order to show Lochte in a Speedo.
  6. Tim Gunn, in the event they couldn’t get Tim Gunn to play himself, in the opening scene in which Stone gets cut from Project Runway, thus setting the tone of despair for the first half of the film.
  7. The President of the United States’ chief of staff.

Update: Lochte confirmed that he will have a “very small little piece” in the movie in a post on his Snapchat account.
