KATHMANDU: The Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur, today arrested the chairperson of Lyricists' Association of Nepal from Baluwatar for allegedly embezzling millions of rupees from the organisation he was working in.

According to DSP Ishwor Karki of Lalitpur, lyricist Yogendra Mani Dahal had allegedly embezzled more than Rs 123.6 million from Nepal Bitumen and Barrel Limited, the company he was working in.

Police arrested Dahal after an FIR was lodged against him before the Dashain festival.

Police are looking into the case.
