Actor-entrepreneur
Suniel Shetty has joined hands with
Mukesh Chhabra, one of
Bollywood's most popular casting directors, who has cast for several successful films. The duo has launched an online venture, F'The Couch (FTC), which will offer work to aspiring actors, singers, dancers, writers and other technicians.
As the name suggests, it aims to rebel against practices that deter real talent from getting their due.
'This is the need of the hour. There's plenty of untapped talent across the globe and not all aspirants can come to Mumbai and struggle. Our venture will help them explore opportunities from the comfort of their homes,' says Mukesh.
Suniel, whose company S2Ventures spearheads FTC, adds, 'After making digital inroads with Active Fitness, movies were the next stop. I often see newcomers getting misled by miscreants. That's when I decided to provide solutions using the best that technology has to offer. With this, we want to bridge the gap between job seekers and providers.'
Akshay Vatsa, the CEO of FTC, says, 'Our mission is to provide a one-stop platform to 50 million aspirants who are vying for one million jobs.'
