Ansh Bagri has been basking in the appreciation he earned for his portrayal of Vicky in Anand Pandit and Rashmi Sharma's co-production 'Days of Tafree'. While the film may not have made huge money at the box office, the actor has been appreciated for his acting prowess. He says, "My film released alongside 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story'. So, we got just a week to prove our mettle. It may not have raked in a huge collection, but our work has been acknowledged.
The movie will premiere on TV soon and I am hoping to get the response that I couldn't get when it released in theatres."
Ansh played the hero Vicky, a Casanova who is always at loggerheads with his father. Is he anything like that in real life? "I used to have differences of opinion with my father, but I eventually realised that he was always right. He is no more and I miss him," he replies, adding, "I am not a Casanova. In fact, I have had only one girlfriend so far with whom I broke up just before I was signed on for the film. I am into healthy flirting because it's harmless."

Veering from 'Days of Tafree' to his days of struggle, Ansh says he has prepared for 15 years to become an actor. He even performed as a back dancer in 'Yuvvraaj' and 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' besides appearing on two episodes of 'Zara Nachke Dikha'. However, lady luck smiled at him when he bagged the Limca commercial with Kareena Kapoor. "That commercial earned me recognition overnight. I got calls from several filmmakers after that," he recalls. However, nothing materialised for another few years. He finally got his biggest break till date after four years of struggle in the film Maximum City after renowned casting coordinator Rupesh Sonar showed his pictures to the director of 'Days of Tafree'. "You get what you are destined to. But had it not been for Rupesh, the director wouldn't have noticed me at all. Four more guys were approached for the role after me, but I bagged the part finally. He has been the catalyst in propelling me to where I am today," he says.
Currently, Ansh is in a three-film deal with the production house and is waiting in his wings to come back with yet another film that allows him to showcase his acting chops.
We wish the young, talented actor all the luck!
