AJMER: Once again, the demand for deploying Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at the shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti was raised during a meeting of Union ministry of minority affairs and the dargah committee held recently in New Delhi.
The ministry is taking the proposal seriously and has asked the home ministry to get an IB report on this issue.
Two years ago too, the Union home ministry had asked the IB department to file a report on this issue. The demand had come up following a bomb blast at the shrine in 2007, and since then, the state police have been looking after the security of this shrine.

The recent proposal submitted to the Union government states that looking to the increasing number of devotees at the dargah, it is necessary to plan better security at the shrine.
