BJP plans ‘Parivartan Yatra' to nullify Congress’s ‘Kisan Yatra’ in poll bound UP
GHAZIABAD: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will soon embark on 'Parivartan Yatra' with a view to galvanize its vote bank ahead of UP assembly elections due next year. This is seen as an attempt by the party to counter the effects of Congress’s just concluded Kisan Yatra and Khat Sabha spearheaded by congress vice president Rahul Gandhi. UP BJP chief Keshav Prasad Maurya who was in Ghaziabad on Tuesday while addressing a press conference shared details of BJP’s proposed 'Parivartan Yatra.'
“BJP will undertake Parivartan Yatra in four stages in the state which will commence from 5 November from Saharanpur followed by Jhansi on 6 November and two days later that is on 8 November in Sonbhadra and finally in Balia on 9 November” says Keshav Prasad Maurya BJP State president.
“Parivartan Yatra' is all four districts will be flagged off by party president Amit Shah and finally on 24 December the yatra will culminate in ‘Parivartan Sabha’ in Lucknow which will be addressed by prime minister Narender Modi” adds Maurya. When asked is BJP’s Parivartan Yatra is in response to Rahul’s Kisan Yatra, Maurya replied “We do not consider Rahul Gandhi and the congress in competition as far as UP assembly election is concerned.”
Maurya then trained his guns on Akhilesh Yadav led SP government and said it is steeped in an internecine family war at the cost of governance and development. “SP family feud is out in open and it is for all to see how it is adversely affecting development of the state” said Maurya. Terming Congress, SP and BSP same side of the coin Maurya further said that these parties for years have supported each other. “ We all know how BSP and SP had provided support to erstwhile UPA government at the centre for ten years so there is no difference between all three and in upcoming assembly election BJP will trounce them single handedly” said Maurya. “Beyond BJP’s traditional vote bank party is also attempting to broaden its base into backward class and soon organize ‘pichra varg sammelan’” added Maurya.
