DDC holds meet with Gujjar and Bakerwal Advisory members

District Development Commissioner Niraj Kumar held a meeting with the members of J&K State Advisory Board for Development of Gujjars and Bakarwals  here today. CPO Udhampur, Ex-En PHE, Ex-En PWD, Ex-En PDD , Ex-En project wing  , AEEs ,Technical Assistant JAKEDA and other district officers were also present in the meeting.During the meeting, the members of the board apprised the DDC with various issues   including road connectivity, drinking water facility, power supply, provision of solar lights in the unelectrified villages, improving the conditions of Mobile schools and special camps for Aadhar enrolment for the tribals of Mansar and Charwa areas of Tehsil Majalta.Responding to their demands, the DDC directed the PHE department to make provision of water tankers to the  areas facing shortage of drinking water along with laying  of  water pipes in areas to augment water supply.The DDC further directed the PDD department to take requisite steps to improve power supply in the areas facing acute shortage of power while PWD department was asked to ensure leveling of road by filling up the potholes.He also issued directions to the concerned departments    to expedite Aadhar enrolments.Among others, Ghulam Mustafa, Hassan Sardar, Choudhary Mohammad, Choudhary Farooq, Choudhary Majid, Choudhary Tanveer Ahmed, Abdul Lateif attended the meeting.
