Wigan's head coach Shane Wane said: "Having handed Dom his debut in 2012 it has been a pleasure to watch him grow and mature both on and off the field.

"Dom has enjoyed success at the Wigan club winning two Grand Finals and playing over 100 games. He endured a difficult spell at the start of the year because of injury but bounced back well and deservedly walked away from Old Trafford last week with a winners' ring.

"This was a difficult decision but one that we felt was right for all parties. Everyone at the club wishes Dom well."

Chairman, Ian Lenagan, added: "Dom was keen to agree a new and improved contract with Wigan which we were unable to commit to.

"After internal discussions, it was felt that the team had more than enough strength in the front-row to allow Dom to leave. "
