MALAPPURAM : The hashtag campaign #entevakasulaimani started by P V Abdul Wahab MP as a reply to the alleged hate speech comparing Malappuram with Pakistan, by renowned scientist and preacher Dr N Gopalakrishnan in his youtube video, is going viral in social media.
The Facebook note under the hashtag has already been shared by more than three thousand people and MP’s tweet with #entevakasulaimani is also going viral.

It was two days ago that the youtube video of former senior scientist of CSIR, Dr N Gopalakrishnan in which he was allegedly delivering hate speech against Muslim women in Malappuram, surfaced in social media.
As the speech went viral in social media, there were strong demand from different corners to take strong action against Gopalakrishnan who allegedly degraded people of Malappuram through the hate speech.
Responding to this, on Monday evening, Abdul Wahab tweeted “Iam inviting all the hate speakers to Malappuram to have a tea and know what is Malappuram #entevakasulaimani”. He also posted an FB note with #entevakasulaimani, inviting all hate speakers to come to Malappuram and to know the people, have a black tea with them and to go back with new convictions regarding Malappuram people.
His post says, Malappuram had strongly stood behind secularist forces when various parts of country witnessed violence after the demolition of Babri Masjid and the leaders of various political parties in Malappuram always stood for maintaining peace in the region. He has pointed out that Malappuram has played a key role in the Independence struggle and it also gave birth to many freedom fighters. Malappuram is the land where the literary icons like Thunjathu Ezhuthachan, Poonthanam and Vallathol were born and they had never considered Malappuram as a land of only Muslims, post says.
