Tom Bugg’s cheeky Twitter welcome for new Melbourne teammate Jordan Lewis

JORDAN Lewis’ shock move to Melbourne has been finalised.

And Tom Bugg, one of his new teammates, couldn’t help but give the veteran on-baller a cheeky welcome to the club.

Lewis’ Hawks were on the receiving end of a surprise loss at the hands of Melbourne earlier this year, going down to the Dees by 29 points at the MCG in Round 20. For some, it was the day this young Demons group came of age.

Bugg had a great day personally, kicking two crucial second-half goals while quelling the influence of star forward Cyril Rioli.

So when news officially broke on Tuesday that Lewis would be playing alongside Bugg in 2017, the latter couldn’t help himself on Twitter.

It was the latest of several clever tweets this year by Bugg, who has become renowned for his wit on social media.

While he doesn’t tweet often, Bugg is definitely a quality over quantity social media operator.

This one came after both Oscar McDonald and Tom McDonald re-signed with the club earlier this year.

Bugg’s gesture to Richmond supporters during Melbourne’s Round 5 win at the MCG also made headlines.
