100 city students complete IITB's online course

RAJKOT: About 100 students of city-based Shri Labhubhai Trivedi Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLTIET) successfully completed eight week online course offered by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-B), Bombay. The premier technology institute had offered an online free certificate 'Basic' course on "3D Animation Using Open Source Software - Blender". In this course, the professors of IITB provide online lectures, give assignments to students and conduct examination.
"We have supported and promoted students to register for such course and helped around 100 students to complete this course successfully. Gujarat Technological University (GTU) also provides three points extra for clearing this course. One of the professors from IITB will conduct a seminar at SLTIET," said Dr B M Ramani, the head of the course and Principal, SLTIET, Rajkot. tnn
