Martyred sepoy Arshad Mehmood laid to rest

ATTOCK - Sepoy Arshad Mehmood from the 56 Punjab Regiment, who had embraced martyrdom in Angoor Ada of South Waziristan Agency, was laid to rest with full military honour in his ancestral graveyard at village Chontra of Attock district yesterday.

A smartly dressed contingent of Pak Army presented Guard of Honour to the martyred sepoy. Floral wreath on behalf of Chief of Army Staff and his Commanding Officer were laid on his grave. Sepoy Arshad had joined Pak Army seven years ago. He has left bereaved his parents, two younger brothers and a sister. Muhammad Siddique father of the martyr while talking to journalists said that apparently this was a great loss for his family but in real terms this was a great honour for him being father of a martyr. Siddique said that he had two sons studying in different classes and after completion of their studies both will join Pak Army to defend Pakistan.
