Liam Payne, right, just signed a solo record deal in the U.S. His 1D bandmates Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Harry Styles are also in the selfie.

Another One Directioner has gone his own way.

After announcing a solo record deal with Capitol Records in the U.K. this summer, Liam Payne tweeted Monday that he signed with Republic Records in the U.S. So expect some new music from the English singer here in the states soon.

"I am celebrating (my deal with Republic Records) as I tweet thank you so much for accepting me to your roster of amazing artists," Payne shared on Twitter.

The news is just the latest in a series of solo outings for the band members: Zayn Malik was the first to drop his own music, RCA Records R&B album Mind of Mine, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's albums chart in March (after he was absent from the band's last record); Niall Horan recently shared his first folksy solo track from Capitol Records, This Town, which topped the Billboard trending chart ; Harry Styles signed with Columbia this summer, according to Billboard and E!,  but hasn't yet released music; and Louis Tomlinson is presumably busy with fatherhood and guest-judging on America's Got Talent.

Republic Records has a knack for picking up ex-boy-banders. Joe Jonas, formerly of The Jonas Brothers, is now a Republic Records artist with his band DNCE.
