The fashion world is no stranger to crossovers into hospitality, with brands like Versace, Bulgari, and Armani opening their own luxury properties. Designer extraordinaire Karl Lagerfeld, who helms Chanel, Fendi, and his eponymous label, is the latest style icon to enter the hotel industry, partnering with Brandmark Collective BV to create Karl Lagerfeld Hotels & Resorts. In addition to guest accommodations, the new brand will offer residential properties, members' clubs, and restaurants in its lineup. Lagerfeld is well prepared for the endeavor, having already worked on interior projects for Monaco's Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo, Paris's Hôtel de Crillon, and Sofitel So Singapore, not to mention the lobbies of residential buildings in Miami and Toronto. Soon, the globetrotting designer will be able to feel right at home anywhere on the map as he continues to conquer the world.
