Away from Carberry Rangers victory, the Cork GAA round-up

Bandon came out on top in this entertaining finale, thanks in large to a decisive 1-6 turnaround from Bandon after the break.

Mark Sugrue, who started last S unday's hurling final, starred for the west Cork outfit, scoring 0-5. Adam Murphy chipped in with a goal and one point while Barry Collins claimed two points from play.

On a spirited Rockchapel side, Seamus Hickey and Brendan Cahill were outstanding, with the latter keeping his side in it with a goal. Daniel Curtin grabbed three points for the north Cork side.

Cork Junior A Hurling Championship

Mayfield 1-16

Sarsfield 1-13

Mayfield reclaimed their county title after 38 years, with Nicky Kelly helping himself to a 10 points.

Sarsfield, to their credit, were a formidable side and were led by Ronan Murphy, who netted a goal to inspire his side.

Patrick Duggan replied with a goal of his own to ultimately hand Mayfield their title.

Cork SHC relegation play-off

Na Piarsaigh 3-10

Newcestown 0-18

Eoghan Hanafin helped Na Piarsaigh to a one point victory with a point deep into injury time.

Newcestown started well through Colm Dinneen and Eoin Kelly but Na Piarsaigh scored goals through Hanafin, Padraig Gould and Cian O'Mahony to hand their side the victory.

Cork JAFC semi-final replay

Gabriel Rangers 2-9

Knocknagree 0-14

A revitalised Gabriel Ranger sprung to life in the second half to record a single point victory over Knocknagree in the second-half.

Goalscorers Chris Moynihan and Mark Cronin were central to victory while Knocknagree's Anthony O'Connor chipped in with an eight point haul.

Cork U21A Hurling Championship

Erin's Own 2-18

Clonakilty 1-17

James O'Flynn followed last week's disappointing SHC final loss with a powerful display from full-forward against Clonakilty on Saturday, scoring 2-3 along the way.

Leon Foley, James O'Carroll, Stephen Horgan, Sam Guillfoyle and Robbie O'Flynn all contributed to book a place in the final for the Caherlag outfit.

Clonakilty were kept in the game by a Duncan Lehane goal.

Cork Premier U21A HC semi-final

Douglas 1-20

Glen Rovers 1-10

Douglas reached the Cork Premier U21 A HC final at the expense of Glen Rovers .

The winners barely had to stretch their resources as the Glen, who relied too heavily on Evan O'Connell, ran out of steam.

Douglas now meet the winners between Blackrock and Fr. O'Neills in the second semi-final.

Cork IHC

Fr. O'Neill's 0-13

Aghada 0-11

Fr. O'Neill's saw off Aghada to reach the Cork IHC final, with Declan Dalton knocking over seven points.

A wasteful Aghada side (17 wides) scored registered points through Cian Fleming and John Looney and the impressive Kevin O'Hanlon.

Billy Dunne and Thomas Millerick also played pivotal roles in the victory. They will now face Kildorrey in the decider.
