A pregnant woman and her three children were struck by a vehicle Monday in Hopkinton.The incident happened near 112 Hayden Rowe St. just after 10 a.m. The victims were in a crosswalk when they were struck, police said.Watch reportAccording to Hopkinton Police, a 61-year-old driver from Hopedale was traveling northbound and stopped to allow the mother and her children to cross within a crosswalk.Police said her vehicle was then struck in the rear by a vehicle operated by a 32-year-old Milford man.Investigators said the collision caused the woman's vehicle to be propelled off the roadway.Police said the vehicle operated by the Milford man then continued on and struck the stroller, according to witnesses. "My son was in, I guess, the front stroller with his friend, being pushed by our friend's mom," Chris Masters, the father of one of the injured children. Masters said his 4-year-old son is recovering after taking the brunt of the impact. "He has a scrape in his head and scrapes throughout his body," Masters said. Two damaged vehicles and a damaged stroller could be seen in the area.The victims were taken to a local hospital and are expected to recover. "We're going to figure out what happened here, try to get to the bottom, and if there needs to be charges, we will certainly file them," Hopkinton Police Chief Edward Lee said. Get the WCVB News App

According to Hopkinton Police, a 61-year-old driver from Hopedale was traveling northbound and stopped to allow the mother and her children to cross within a crosswalk.

Police said her vehicle was then struck in the rear by a vehicle operated by a 32-year-old Milford man.
