Two children who were reported missing alongside their mother are back in the care of their family.

Four-year-old Eva Kerr, McKenzie Scullion, 10, and Farrah Fadli, 29, went missing from their home on Thornyflat Drive in Ayr on Wednesday morning.

Ms Fadli, also known as Gillespie, left her children with a friend in Irvine at about 7.15pm on Friday night, but left soon afterwards and remains missing.

The children are unharmed and are being looked after by family in Ayrshire.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We are continuing to search for Farrah and would appeal to either herself to get in touch with them or her family or for anyone who knows where she is to contact officers at Ayr Police Office via 101."

It is the first time Ms Fadli has gone missing, police said.
