A mild tremor measuring 4 on the Richter scale on Monday hit central Nepal, according to the country’s National Seismological Center. The aftershock of the 2015 earthquake was recorded at 10.03 am with epicentre located between Bhadratar and Thansing of Nuwakot district, 120 km west of Kathmandu, according to National Seismological Centre.
Last Saturday, the NSC had recorded a tremor of magnitude 4 with its epicentre in Thulogaun of Rasuwa district, situated 130 km east of Kathmandu.
The NSC has so far recorded 472 significant aftershocks since the devastating quake on April 25, 2015 that killed almost 9,000 people.
