TV commercials starring MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Ajinkya Rahane are doing rounds with a message they want to spread about women empowerment.

The sponsor of the Indian cricket Team, Star India has come up with a TV campaign for their flagship channel in India— Star Plus. The campaign, called Nayi Soch, features these key players of Team India in which they talk about the contributions their mothers made in the position they hold in the society now.

The three cricketers wear jerseys bearing their mother's names instead of the ones with their own names or the one with their father's.

When asked about Devki, Saroj, and Sujata (names of the players' mums) the players, Dhoni, Kohli, and Rahane respectively talk about how their mothers have contributed. We know from MS Dhoni: The Untold Story that Devki always supported MS' dreams. In the case of Kohli, we know that his mother Saroj raised him single-handedly after her husband passed away young. Ajinkya Rahane's story feels untold. In the commercial, the Mumbaikar talks about how his mother used to pick up his heavy kit bag with one hand, with his younger brother in the other on their way to the practice grounds.
