KK makes audience sway to tunes with B'wood numbers

Raipur: Bollywood playback singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK gave a stirring performance for the city folks on Saturday night. A two-hour long, open air concert was held near Purkhoti Muktangan, Naya Raipur.
The magnificent stage was decorated with colourful lights and the event was partnered by The Times of India.
The 48-year-old singer who came to limelight with his first song, ' Tadap-Tadap ke' from the movie ' Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' went on to become one of the most versatile singers in Bollywood."I started singing in 1996 and this is my 20th year as a singer" KK told the audience.
Audience greeted the singer with a loud cheer as he appeared on the stage. KK said "Good Evening Raipur, the roads of Naya Raipur are attractive and the weather in Raipur is quite pleasant. It is because of you guys that I am here, otherwise what would I be doing here alone?"Fans of all age group from the city and nearby places gathered at the concert to enjoy the musical extravaganza. The younger crowd gathered around the stage where they danced and sang along with the singer which made the evening much more exciting for everyone. he performed songs like ' Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai', 'Mera Pehla-Pehla Pyaar', 'Yaaro Dosti' which are very popular . He struck an instant chord with the audience., that danced and sang along with him. The song on demand song, from the crowd was ' Zara Si' from the movie ' Jannat'.KK was a hit as he just not kept himself to the statge and instead interacted with the crowd, shook hands with fans near the stage, and also dedicated songs to them who swayed to the tunes. He said the audience are very close to his heart.
With the captivating performance by the singer, the evening came to end and brought smile on the faces of all those present in the concert.
