Patna: Normalcy returned to Saran, Gopalganj, Bhojpur, Kishanganj and Madhepura districts but the internet services remained suspended on Sunday as a part of preventive measures following communal tension over idol immersion and tazia procession of Muharram a few days back.
"Things are back to normal now," said Bihar DGP PK Thakur, adding that the internet services would resume on Monday.
Thakur also said around 250 people from both the communities had been arrested for inciting violence.
Shahabad range DIG Mohammad Rahman said the decision to resume the internet services would be taken only on Monday after assessing the situation in the areas where communal clashes took place recently. "Piro in Bhojpur district remained peaceful on Sunday," he said. tnn
