If you were in your senses in the 80s and 90s, there’s no way you would have missed Malgudi Days because kids used to wait for Sunday mornings just so they could sit in front of their TV sets and watch RK Narayan’s iconic show which featured Swami and friends. The three, Swami, Mani and Rajam defined friendship while roaming in the steets of a small town called Malgudi.
In case you don’t remember their faces, here are the faces to take you back to the good old days.

The three met at an event in 2015 and got all nostalgic about the shared past. Swami aka Manjunath Nayaker tweeted a picture of the three together which took some down the memory lane. “”MALGUDI DAYS”… this is the most memorable epic we used to enjoy….really miss those days,” wrote a user on the picture which resurfaced on Twitter.

In case you couldn’t recognise, that’s Swami on the left, Mani in the centre and Rajam on the right. Nayekar, who also appeared in Amitabh Bachchan’s Agneepath as a child artist, went on to play a couple of roles in Kannada films. He completed his education in Bengaluru and is now a PR professional.
As for Malgudi Day, shot in Shimoga, Karnataka, it’ll always be a tale to cherish for decades to come.
