Bhopal: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that in order to impart training and to develop skills, a national level training institute will be set up while tourism will be given status of industry. He was inaugurating the two-day MP Travel Mart on Saturday. Chouhan distributed first MP Tourism awards to 39 winners in 22 categories.
Byuers and sellers from different countries participated in the meet.

Chouhan further said there are wide scopes of employment opportunities in tourism sector. Madhya Pradesh is the first state of the country where tourism cabinet has been set up and a favourable tourism policy has been made for the investors. Next water -festival will be organized at Hanuwantiya in Khandwa from December 15, 2016 to January 15, 2016.
Talking to TOI, Greta Veselinova, director and founder of a travel company from Bulgaria said, "We solely deal in spiritual expeditions across the world and this my first visit to Madhya Pradesh and some of spiritual places well known and also unexplored ones have derived my attention. Like in Sanchi and nearby places, there are other spiritual preserved sites too. We will be visiting it soon."
Adding to the same, Regina from Kenya, said, "Since spiritualism is more of an interest to travellers now, we are looking for good packages from private sector groups like hoteliers and others working in these field. I hope to get the dealers soon as per our interest."
Speaking on te occasion minister of state for tourism and culture (independent charge) Surendra Patwa said that tourism department's budget has been increased 10 folds in the last 10 years. In the next three years, 300 road facilitation centers will be started. Chairman state tourism development corporation Tapan Bhoumik and managing director state tourism development corporation Hariranjan Rao gave presentation focusing scope of tourism and opportunities in the state.
Chouhan virtually dedicated Bison Resort Madai and Teak Resort Delawadi. Chairman of IATO Pranav Sarkar, chairman of ADTOI PP Khanna, chairman of ITTAK Krishnadutt Yadav and chairman of ATOAI Akshay Kumar were present on the occasion.
