CHANDIGARH: The counsel of Sirsa-based Dera
Sacha Sauda chief
Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh moved an application before the special
CBI court in Panchkula on Saturday, seeking copies of the statements made by women who have accused the self-styled godman of sexual exploitation. The counsel has sought statements that have been made before the then CBI investigating officer (IO) K L Raina. The court will take up the matter for hearing on Monday.
Raina, who was the CBI deputy superintendent of police (DSP), had interacted with the complainants, who were `sadhvis' in Ram Rahim's sect, during the initial days of investigations into case.
According to information, CBI has expressed inability to provide copies as it was part of investigations.
