Pune : Three motorbike riders snatched a
gold chain worth Rs 30,000 from a walker on Friday near Akurdi railway station.

Khisti (52) of Akurdi, who works in a private company, lodged a complaint with the Nigdi police. Senior police inspector Vijay Palsule said Khisti was on his routine morning walk when the motorbike came from behind. One of the suspects attempted to snatch Khisti's gold chain but failed.
The bike rider then stopped the vehicle and two riders alighted.
The duo threatened Khisti, assaulted Khisti with the blunt side of a weapon and fled with his gold chain.
In another case, a 23-year-old youth was robbed of cellphone and cash, totally worth Rs 16,500 on Saturday near GPO in Camp.
Karan Raskar (23) of B T Kawade Road lodged a complaint with the
Bund Garden police. Senior inspector Madan Bahadarpure told TOI that Raskar works as a chartered accountant in a company in
Wakad.
Raskar had hired a cab from Wakad to a spot in Camp. He was waiting for another cab home when the
robbery happened around 3.30am.
The three suspects grabbed and pushed him into a secluded lane where they attacked his legs and hands with sharp weapons. They then robbed him and fled the spot.
