Malvika Bansod upsets second seed Prashi Joshi in Krishna Khaitan Badminton

Chandigarh, Oct 15 (UNI) Top seed Mithun M of Air India, Jaswanth D of Andhra Pradesh, fourth seed Kanishq M. of Air India and 12th seed Kaustubh Rawa of Uttrakhand advanced to the boys under-19 singles semi-finals of the 25th Krishna Khaitan All India Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament here today.
Barring fourth seed Kanishq, all other players easily moved into the next round. Kanishq was given a tough time by 10th seed Swarnaraj Bora of Assam. After going down fighting in the first game, bounced back strongly to clinch the match by 24-26 24-22 21-10.
Top seed Mithun M. outpointed Abhishek Saini of Haryana by 21-12 21-17 and Kaustubh Rawat disposed of the challenge of Arya Bhivpathaki of Maharashtra 21-18 21-16. In the fourth quarter-final fixture, Jaswanth D. defeated Abhyansh Singh of Uttar Pradesh 21-13 27-25.
