Duo nabbed for UP angadia robbery

AHMEDABAD: Crime branch sleuths on Friday nabbed two persons -Vikram Thakore of Harij in Patan and Raju Patel, a furniture trader in Nikol -for their alleged involvement in five angadia robberies of more than Rs 5 crore.
Inspector S L Chaudhary said that other gang members are Salim Bhaiya of Sami taluka in Pa tan, Javed Pathan and four others, in cluding three from Uttar Pradesh.

Crime branch sources said Sa lim's father Noormohammed Bhaiya has been sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment in a fake currency note case of Kutch. Deputy commissioner of police Deepan Bhadran said that they have informed their Uttar Pradesh counterpart of the arrest. “Patel, Salim and Javed used to travel to UP in Patel's car and execute robberies with the help of their accomplices in UP ,“ Bhadran added.
