Cesc Fabregas set to miss Chelsea match vs. Leicester City - source

LONDON -- Cesc Fabregas will not take part in Chelsea's Premier League clash with Leicester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday due to a minor injury, a club source has told ESPN FC.

The Spain international, who has made just one Premier League start under Antonio Conte this season and did not feature at all as Chelsea beat Hull City 2-0 before the international break, has been unable to train since Wednesday because of the problem.

Branislav Ivanovic also sat out training at Cobham on Friday, and is highly unlikely to be fit to face the Premier League champions at Stamford Bridge after returning from international duty with Serbia carrying a knock.

The 32-year-old's absence makes it all the more likely that John Terry will return to Chelsea's starting XI, having recovered from strained ankle ligaments. The Blues captain has been sidelined for more than a month after picking up the injury in the final minute of a 2-2 draw with Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

John Obi Mikel is nursing a small muscular problem picked up on international duty with Nigeria, but Victor Moses could be available after working with medical staff at Cobham on a hamstring injury that prevented him from reporting for international duty with the Super Eagles.

Willian will also be absent from Stamford Bridge on Saturday, having been granted compassionate leave by Conte to return to Brazil and attend the funeral of his mother, who passed away on Wednesday after a long battle with cancer.

Oscar was also granted permission to fly back to Brazil on Friday evening after learning that a family member is seriously ill
