Mullana backs Hooda

Former State Congress chief Phool Chand Mullana today backed ex-CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda in the controversy involving the clash among party workers in which Haryana Congress president Ashok Tanwar was injured.

Mullana said today that though the October 6 clash of Congress workers was unfortunate, those who were trying to make it a Dalit issue were not supporters of the party but were playing into the hands of the opposition. He said Hooda had always worked for the welfare of Dalits. Mullana said the Sushil Kumar Shinde committee would bring out the truth. —TNS
