Lift blockade outside secretariat: Dogra Sabha

The Dogra Sadar Sabha has demanded that the road outside the civil secretariat should not be kept out of bounds to vehicular movement during the six months when the government functions from the winter capital.

A meeting of the Sabha and “Mohalla Sudhar Committee” was held today under the chairmanship of Gulchain Singh Charak. The members strongly objected to the road block between the Dogra Hall and Ranvireshwar Shiv temple that is created each time the state secretariat moves to the summer capital.

“The road block causes uncalled for and unnecessary hardship to the local population of the area and divides the holy town of temples into two halves. The road in front of the secretariat is the main artery road running through the heart of the town”, said Charak.
