Ban on covering faces on two-wheeler : Two arrested

Fatehgarh Sahib, Oct 14 (UNI) The Bassi Pathana police arrested two youth who had covered their face while driving their motorcycle. A police team during checking near Chunni area arrested two youth Gurbachan Singh and Harpreet Singh, who had covered their faces while driving their bike. Later they were released on bail. They were coming from Mohali side when their were arrested by the police
It may be mentioned here that in wake of several incidents, including criminal activities in state, the district administration had imposed a ban on covering faced with any cloth by two-wheeler rider and pillion rider. Notably, two bikers who had shot RSS leader Jagdish Gagneja in Jalandhar had their faces covered with cloth and their identities could not be established so far.
The district administration has imposed a ban on covering faces with any cloth by two-wheeler rider and pillion under section 144 of the CrPC .

Hyderabad, April 24 (UNI) The Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued a communication stipulating that every individual employed in any business, trade, industrial undertaking, or establishment, eligible to vote in elections to the House of the People or the Legislative Assembly of a State, shall be granted a paid holiday under Section 135 B of the Representation of People Act.
