PUNE: German automobile components company Tristone Flowtech Group has launched its first plant in India in Pune.
Tristone specializes in designing, engineering and manufacturing flow technology systems for engine and battery cooling, air charge and air intake. They supply all major car manufacturers and offer innovations and products for complete flow technology solutions. The company has nine manufacturing facilities worldwide, and the new, tenth edition is located in the industrial area of Chakan, Pune, the first in India which will be fully operational from August 2017.

“We were looking to expand our operations and many of our customers from India were asking us to produce the products locally. Seeing the demand, we then began our research for the right location, which had to be an automobile hub. And finally, we decided to build the plant in Chakan,” said Guenter Froelich, Group CEO, Tristone Flowtech Group.
While sharing some more insights about Tristone’s future strategy and investment plans, Froelich added, “The turnover of the company for 2015 was 228 million Euros and the target for this year is 250 million. We are willing to invest 2.5 million Euros in the near future. The FDI policy has been very positive so far and we haven’t had any constraints in entering the Indian market. As foreign investors, we in fact are quite attracted to initiate business in India.”
Tristone is largely dedicated towards the passenger car market.
