Otalgia can be related to infectious
process in the external ear and middle
ear.
Bacterial contaminates can enter the
ear through insertion of unclean articles
such as fingers or toys.
4. Insertion of any sharp objects into the ear canal
can traumatize the skin and provide an open
medium for infection.
Installation of contaminated solutions into the
ear canal or swimming in polluted water rises
the risk for development of ear infection and
inflammation.

Otalgia related to a problem in the ear usually
the result of an inflammatory process that can
be caused by trauma or infection.
Inflammation causes chemical mediators to be
released into the tissue resulting in the tissue
edema, pain, heat and redness.

disorders in the temporomandibular
joint (TMJ), cranial nerves, face,
scrap, pharynx, tonsils, thyroid, teeth
or cervical muscle.
