SPIED: Is this the new Suzuki Gixxer (GSX-S150)?

A report from Indonesian motoring portal Motoblast.org suggest that Suzuki might be working on a sharper Gixxer roadster. Expected to be christened as the GSX-S150, the upcoming motorcycle will draw design cues from the much bigger Suzuki GSX-S750 naked roadster. That being said, the upcoming motorcycle will reportedly use most of the hardware from the current Gixxer 155, including conventional telescopic front suspension and multinational LCD display to keep the prices in check.

In terms of design, the fuel tank gets more muscular with the new and bigger shrouds. Even the rear panel under the seat gets a sharper design. Moreover, unlike the current model, the spied motorcycle seems to use a split seat setup.

The details are few as the spy images does not reveal the complete motorcycle. Mechanical updates may include a new 150cc engine unless Suzuki uses the current 155cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor which puts out 14.8 PS of power and 14 Nm of torque. We’d wait for some more details to emerge on that front.

In September this year, the fully faired 2017 Suzuki GSX-R150 was spied in Indonesia so it would not be completely incorrect to expect more details on the GSX-S150 in the coming days. Meanwhile, let us know your views about the motorcycle through the comments section below.
