Under the Swaccha Gujarat model SMC is planning to de centralize tertiary treatment plants . At present SMC provides nearly 100 MLD of water to pandesara industries and of that 40 MLD is the recycled water from its tertiary treatment plant of Bamroli to earn good amount of revenue.

“The same could be done for other work too and so we plan to set up one MLD tertiary treatment plant costing Rs 4 crore at different places in the city. On experimental basis, water in lakes of the city would be recharged .” said an official from SMC.
The water recharge work would be done after checking the BOD and COD in the water.
