Vijay Antony denies directing Picchaikaran Hindi remake

The music director will make his acting debut in B'Town.

Music composer-turned-hero Vijay Antony, who has become a big threat to all the mass heroes by continuously churning out blockbusters including his recent Pichaikaran (in Tamil) and Bichagadu (in Tollywood), denies rumors on wielding megaphone for the Bollywood version of the action-drama.

“It is true that I am debuting in Bollywood as an actor in the remake of Pichaikaran — which has a universal theme. I am also producing the film and I am now contemplating whether to start the project in January or later in the year. But all said and done, I am not going to direct the movie and Sasi who did the original will be doing it in B’town as well,” Antony discloses. He also reasons out why he is not keen to direct — “There’s no specific reason. I am not scared or apprehensive to wield the megaphone. As of now, I neither have an idea nor do I feel like helming a project.” The Naan actor is not fluent in Hindi, but he feels that language isn’t a barrier when a film with good content is created.
