LUCKNOW: The police on Wednesday registered a cross-FIR against Vinay Srivastava, husband of the additional district judge (ADJ) of Kannauj, on the complaint of KGMU resident doctor Akshay Mishra. The latter was booked on Saturday for assaulting Vinay at a mall in Hazratganj.
The first FIR was registered against Mishra on Vinay's complaint on Saturday. Mishra had also submitted a counter-complaint against Vinay at that time but police lodged his cross FIR on Wednesday after scanning CCTV footage of the mall.

"We will probe the matter threadbare to find who was really at fault," said SSP Manzil Saini while refusing to give more details.
In his FIR, Vinay stated that he had gone to mall along with wife and 8-year-old son. Mishra and his female friend pushed his son and assaulted Vinay when he objected to their behaviour, he had claimed.
However, Mishra stated that his friend was talking on her phone and inadvertently stepped on the foot of Vinay's child. "Vinay entered into a verbal spat with me and then assaulted us," he alleged.
