JAMMU: The J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Jammu, organised Hussaini mushaira at KL Saigal Hall here today in the memory of Imam-e-Hussain, grandson of Prophet Mohammad.

Jammu, October 13

The J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Jammu, organised Hussaini mushaira at KL Saigal Hall here today in the memory of Imam-e-Hussain, grandson of Prophet Mohammad.

Sardar Panchi, a renowned Urdu poet from Ludhiana, presided over the function. Senior Urdu poet Arsh Sehbai and JKAACL additional secretaries Sheikh Sajjad Poonchi and Arvinder Singh Amn were also present.

Panchi thanked the Academy for giving him an opportunity to be a part of the event. He said such events held on special occasions play a vital role in giving a message of brotherhood and harmony to the civil society. Arsh Sehbai and Sajjad Poonchi also thanked the JKAACL.

Those who participated in the Hussaini Mushaira were Zulfiqar Naqvi, Mukhtar Jafri, Swami Antar Neerav, Sheikh Niaz, Arsh Sehbai, Sardar Panch, Khursheed Kazmi, Banihali, Bashir Badharwahi and Sham Talib.
