Four killed in two accidents

RAJKOT: Two persons were killed and three others injured when their car overturned near Keshod bypass on Wednesday. A group of five persons from Sanijya village near Petlad in Anand district were on way to Somnath temple in a hired car. However, the driver lost control after jumping a divider near the bypass and the car overturned. The deceased were identified as Hasmukh Patel, 54 and Rakesh Patel, 54.Of the three injured who were shifted to Junagadh Civil Hospital, the condition of two is said to be critical.
In another accident, two women were killed and 10 others injured when a state transport bus rammed their chhakdo rickshaw from behind near Babra town of Amreli district. The group of women were returning from a social function in Nana Rajkot village on Tuesday evening. While Vasant Saniya, 35, died on the spot, Dahiben Saniya, 55, succumbed at the Rajkot Civil Hospital.
