Thiruvananthapuram: A local magistrate on Wednesday visited Medical College Hospital and recorded the statements of Bindu and Laila, the two women, who were critically injured in the goonda attack at Puthanpalam Colony near Kannammoola last Friday.
The procedure was done after the two women's condition improved and they were shifted to a ward from intensive care unit.
Bindu is the mother of 19-year-old Vishnu, who was allegedly murdered by the henchmen of gangster Dini Babu while Laila is a relative.
Both had suffered serious injuries while trying to save Vishnu from the attack.
According to sources, both women have told the magistrate that the attack was the result of the feud between two gangs led by Puthanpalam Rajesh and Dini Babu, based out of Puthanpalam Colony.
The police had earlier arrested eight persons in connection with the crime, out of which seven actively participated in the crime and the eighth persons helped them hide after committing the crime.
