Gujarat: State govt transfers 21 IPS officers, Rajkumar Pandian back in state

Rajkumar Pandian, discharged by a special court in alleged fake encounter cases of Sohrabuddin Sheikh and Tulsiram Prajapati in August, was on Wednesday appointed Inspector General of Junagadh Range.

Ahmedabad city police commissioner Shivanand Jha has been shifted to Gandhinagar as Additional DGP, Intelligence. A K Singh, at present serving as the ADGP, Technical Services, has been made the new police commissioner of Ahmedabad.

Surat city police commissioner Ashish Bhatia has been transferred to Gandhinagar as Additional DGP, CID, Crime and Railways.

Satishkumar Sharma, serving as ADGP, Security, Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd, has been made the new police chief of Surat. Sharma has been replaced by Vadodara police commissioner E Radhakrishnan.

Gandhinagar Range IG Manoj Shashidhar has been sent to Vadodara as the new police commissioner.
