UPSC CDS II October Exam 2016: Check the list of examination centers

New Delhi, Oct 12: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the Combined Defence Service Examination (II), 2016 (CDS) on October 23. The exam will be conducted at various centers across the nation. Candidates can download the admit card by visiting the official website upsc.gov.in. It is mandatory to carry the admit card in the exam venue. UPSC CDS II Result will be declared in December. UPSC CDS I Exam Result was announced in May, the exam was conducted on February 14.

Candidates willing to seek admission to (i) Indian Military Academy, Dehradun (ii) Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala, (iii) Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (iv) Officers Training Academy, Chennai (v) Officers Training Academy, Chennai will appear for the exam. Candidates should note that the exam will be conducted in the following centers across the nation:

The list of exam centers include; Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Allahabad, Bengaluru, Bareilly, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Dharwad, Dispur, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Jorhat, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji (Goa), Patna, Port Blair, Raipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati, Udaipur and Visakhapatnam. Candidates should note that there was a limit on the number of candidates allotted to each of the centres excluding Chennai, Delhi, Dispur, Kolkatta and Nagpur. Centers are allotted on the basis of first-apply-first-allot. Once, the allotments in a particular center attained the limit, the center was freezed. Candidates who did not apply to certain center applied for the remaining ones. The Union Public service Commission had stated in its official notification that “Notwithstanding the aforesaid provision, Commission reserve the right to change the Centres at their discretion if the situation demands.” Candidates can check their center in the admit cards issued to them. No request for the change in the center will be entertained by the commission.
