Bollywood’s sweetheart Alia Bhatt is a big girl now, and has just moved into her new home with her sister Shaheen Bhatt. There were reports that the Udta Punjab actress will have a swanky new home in the same apartment building where she stayed as a child. And looking at the pictures of Alia Bhatt’s home in the magazine Architectural Digest, we can’t help being amazed and the swank yet very young and uber cool look that has been given to Alia Bhatt’s house by director Vikas Bahl’s better half Richa Bahl. The magazine managed to get a sneak peek of Alia Bhatt’s new home and also take exclusive pictures, even before the petite but powerful bundle of energy Alia Bhatt’s director daddy Mahesh Bhatt had the chance to take a look at it!

Alia Bhatt spoke to the magazine about choosing Richa Bahl to design her house, “I just liked her vibe, to be very honest. I saw the Phantom Films office, which she had done, and I really liked that. And I liked how easy-going, how cool she was…I told Richa I didn’t want it to be too modern. I wanted it to feel a little old, with a New York loft kind of feel. And I didn’t want anything overtly glamorous, like chandeliers, or marble floors.” Take a look at Alia Bhatt’s new home and you will be inspired to have a house like that, dude! Recently, Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor also moved into a new home in Mumbai, and threw a party for his closest friends. For more than a year-and-a-half, Ranbir Kapoor live-in with then girlfriend Katrina Kaif in Bandra and the interiors of that house were also awesome. After his break-up, Ranbir Kapoor moved into a small apartment near his parents’ home at Pali Hill, Bandra, and later stayed with his grandmother Krishna Raj Kapoor at their family home in Chembur. Ranbir Kapoor was at his grandmom’s side when she fell ill recently, but otherwise he has moved into his well-thought out bachelor pad in Bandra.

And now, Alia Bhatt, too has shown an independent streak and is staying in her new den with her sis’ Shaheen. We loved all the little nooks and reading corners in Alia Bhatt’s spinster pad and we hope we get invited to one of her swish – or shall we say ‘cool’ – parties at her den!
