An artiste who was enacting the role of Hanuman in a Ramlila died while performing last night in Lunkaransar on the Sriganganagar-Bikaner highway.
Dhanna Ram Jat (34) playing Hanuman was to bring “Sanjeevani herb” on the last day of the Ramlila organised near the Hanuman Mandir. While walking on twin rope, he reportedly lost balance and fell down. The organisers shifted him to the local civil hospital, but he died during treatment. All festival celebrations scheduled for today were cancelled.
