Surat traders to hold rally seeking boycott of Chinese goods

Surat: Traders in Surat will hold rally for boycott of Chinese products. The rally has been organized by Vepar Pragati Sangh. It will start from Good-luck market at 4.00 pm and reach Salasar at 5.00 pm.
The traders are also seeking anti-dumping duty on polyester, nylon and viscos mix fabrics imported from China and made in India. In 2015-16 Rs 2,105 crore fabrics arrived at Tutikorin, Tughalakhabad, Mulind, JNPT and Mundra ports. Due to dumping of Chinese fabrics, the local textile manufacturers suffer loss of Rs 0.50 to 2.00 per meter.
Due to pro-Pakistan stand of China, there’s anger across the country among citizens against China following reasons terror attacks in India.
