OCWD Keynote To Share Insights On Becoming An Award-Winning Water Utility At Smart H20 Summit

Jason Dadakis, Director of Health and Regulatory Affairs, Orange County Water District (OCWD), will provide a stimulating keynote presentation entitled “How to be a World-Class, Award-Wining Water Utility”, on Tuesday, August 18 at the 2015 Smart H2O Summit taking place at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis.

Winner of the coveted Singapore’s Lee Kwan Yew Water Prize, OCWD’s Groundwater Replenishment System (GWRS) is widely recognized as the world’s biggest potable water reuse project. The chairman of the Award Committee said, “OCWD has clearly redefined the standard and demonstrated how communities can develop, implement and achieve sustainable water use. The GWRS has become an established blueprint for groundwater recharge and reuse schemes, and has inspired many countries and including Singapore.”

John Pearson, Smart H2O Summit Conference Co-chair, said utility water stewards interested in learning how extraordinary foresight, planning and investment in new technology can significantly enhance their operations won’t want to miss this keynote presentation. It takes place from 9:30 – 10:00 am on August 18.

Pearson added that Dadakis’ presentation will build on Felicia Marcus’ Monday Keynote Presentation on managing the drought and financial assistance available to communities that want to upgrade their water infrastructure.

Anyone interested in attending the Keynote Presentation can register for the Conference at http://www.smarth2osummit.com/register-1.html.
