VARANASI: A
BSP supporter was killed and 12 others including three women were injured when the vehicle in which they were travelling was collided with a stationary truck on national highway in Unjh area of
Bhadohi district in the wee hour on Monday. They were returning to
Mirzapur from Lucknow after attending Mayawati’s rally.
According to reports, a group of BSP supporters from Patrakala Bheda village in
Chhanve assembly area of Mirzapur district had gone to Lucknow to attend the BSP supremo Mayawati’s rally held on Sunday.
While returning home their vehicle collided with a standing truck in
Sufi Nagar locality in Unjh area. The former gram pradhan Hausala Prasad (55) died on the spot in this mishap. The police reached there after getting information and started rescue operation. According to Unjh SO Harvansh Singh, the injured persons were sent to the hospital for treatment.
The injured persons were identified as Rajesh Kumar, Prema Devi, Dhanpatti Devi, Raj Kumar, Shobh Nath, Chiraunji Devi, Santa, Ram Prasad, Kallu, Lakhpatti, Mannu and Teeja. Most of them were released after first aid while four seriously injured were referred to Varanasi.
