TSR officer remanded on molestation charge, one electrocuted, one murder in Tripura

Agartala, Oct 10 (UNI) A local court of Dhalai district today sent a senior officer of Tripura State Rifles (TSR) to judicial remand on molestation charges.
Police said he was arrested for allegedly molesting a tribal girl who was pandal hopping yesterday during the Durga Puja festival along with her friend.
The girl lodged a complaint of molestation against Deputy Commandant of TSR Bishnu Debnath at Chailengta in Dhalai district of North Tripura, police said, adding that after a preliminary inquiry he was arrested today and subsequently produced in a court.
