Vasco: Power minister Milind Naik started his election campaign from ward no. 2 of the Mormugao constituency on Sunday evening. Naik claimed that about 3000 people have been recruited in the Electricity department from across the state in his four and half year tenure and about 600 have got government jobs from his constituency.
Naik said that there is no doubt in BJP forming the government again in the next elections.
“There was a time when Sada was completely neglected and people had their age-old problems not addressed. Since the BJP came to power, Sada has not looked back, ” he said.
He recalled the water woes of Sada area due to which it was called a dry land and how it was solved by his team of officers by building ground facilities and other projects.
Naik had been elected twice and is eyeing for his hattrick. He will face a tough competition against the former MLA and current AAP contestant Karl Vaz and Congress leader Sankalp Amonkar.
