Asha Tamta, state secretary of the Uttarakhand Congress, today submitted her application and bio-data to Congress mahanagar president Prithviraj Chauhan for party ticket from the Rajpur constituency for the upcoming Assembly elections slated to take place next year.
Asha said more women should contest the Assembly and general elections. They could effectively address the grievances of fellow women in the country.
